For information on the use of homeopathy in influenza and covid 19 please go here. Please note: Our ministry does not profess a position on vaccines. Our founder Rev. Dr. Mirman is fully vaccinated for covid 19.
We are a non-denominational institution devoted to promotion of the Science of Homeopathy.
Homeopathy is a faith-based science. It’s principles exist in all religions. They were extracted, further developed and put into a cohesive scientific system compatible with western philosophy, medicine and religion by Homeopathy’s founder Samuel Christian Hahnemann. For further explanation of Homeopathy as science please visit the
Demystifying Homeopathy site developed by one of the founders of Homeopathy Congress, Rev. Jacob I. Mirman, MD
In his main book The Organon of Medicine Hahnemann explains the principles of Homeopathy, including the spiritual nature of disease and the remedies needed to cure it. In particular, § 9 and 16 of the Organon deal with this issue. Visit the History page to see a more complete explanation of this idea.
Homeopathy bridges spirituality and science. While its principles and method are spiritual, its effects in living systems is reproducible and validated by the use of double blind placebo controlled studies published in a variety of peer reviewed medical journals. We see Homeopathy Congress’ purpose in helping the clergy of all persuasions and the medical profession to come together in healing the world.
One of the reasons we decided to form this spiritual ministerial association of homeopaths is to ensure everybody’s access to homeopathy. The way matters stand now, once a person gets hospitalized or otherwise institutionalized, as in nursing homes or prisons, their access to homeopathic care is severely limited by the medical establishment. This happens because Homeopathy is perceived as some type of medicine and the medical establishment feels it is their responsibility to take care of their patients’ medical needs and guard against impostors, as they should. The truth is, Homeopathy does not fit in their definition of medicine, and classifying it as spiritual discipline is more correct. Therefore, there should be no conflict between the homeopaths providing spiritual care and the medical establishment providing medical care. This also takes Homeopathy out of the jurisdiction of any law dealing with medicine and puts it squarely under the statutes dealing with religion.
History gives us many reasons to justify this approach. For example, when a homeopathic charitable organization Homeopaths Without Borders tried to provide relief during Katrina disaster, their freedom to help people was restricted by the powers at be because they were perceived as a medical organization. On the other hand, churches were allowed free access to the victims. Another example is provided by the experience of parents in Iowa wanting to protect their rights to home-school and refuse to vaccinate their children. The state threatened to take away their children. In order to exercise their constitution-given rights the first five families formed a church and harassment ceased. The organization now includes thousands of families. You can read about this here.
We must consider what happens in disasters. For example, if the bird flu pandemic actually does take place and many people are hospitalized, access of homeopaths to the flu patients in the hospitals will be of paramount importance. Homeopathy has a truly remarkable track record in influenza, including the 1918 pandemic. Our site
www.FluSolution.net gives a lot of information, including the period account of homeopathy’s success in 1918, as well as recent research. We must be able to attend to these people, and doing it as a part of religious ministry assures our success. In the United States, as well as most of the free world, clergy is always allowed to minister to the sick.
Homeopathy Congress is registered with the State of Minnesota. It is an affiliate ministry of Universal Ministries, a non-denominational church founded under the laws of the State of Illinois and protected under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. It is compliant with the laws and regulations of the Internal Revenue Code pertaining to churches. To see the Articles of Association of Homeopathy Congress click here
The First Amendment reads:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. For further discussion of the First Amendment visit here.
Our members are Lay Ministers of the Homeopathic Congress and its mother church, the Universal Ministries. Ordination is available to all wishing to be ordained. Ordained ministers can be licensed by the county. Some counties don’t even require ministers to be licensed in order to be able to carry out their duties. Law enables the minister to marry people. It also provides protection in the eyes of the law in regards to the ministers providing spiritual counseling and healing to their parishioners/clients. Homeopathy is a type of spiritual healing. We encourage those wishing to minister to seek ordination.
The Homeopathy Congress does not certify its ministers’ ability in homeopathic practice. This is under the jurisdiction of the appropriate homeopathic boards and associations. Explanation of various homeopathic certifications is provided here..
We assert our right under the First Amendment to minister to our parishioners wherever they are, including hospitals, nursing homes and prisons, as long as the parishioner requests such ministry. Our ministry includes Homeopathy, which is a spiritual way of teaching the parishioner’s Vital Force to repel the malefic spiritual/energetic entities affecting it and causing physical, mental and emotional disease.
Because we are strictly non-denominational, we do not limit the religious beliefs and their expression of our members or parishioners. Most of them are also members of other churches, temples and synagogues. However, we all share the belief in Homeopathy as the supreme method of healing.
The Homeopathy Congress ministers do not practice medicine, unless they are also licensed healthcare providers. Homeopathy does not treat physical, mental or emotional disorders. It does, however, teach the Vital Force to repel the morbific influences. This in turn improves the health of the individual.
The iconographic portrait of Samuel Hahnemann (above) was painted by the Romanian iconographer Ioan Avramescu. He used the Bizantine erminia (traditional east-christian technique): tempera emulsion and gold on tissue covered wood. The size is 600/720mm.
